The road
E03/E02 around Colombo, then the Southern Expressway (E01) most of the way and a short drive down to the coast. Tolls are included.
Worth stopping
- Mulkirigala rock temple, about 30 minutes inland from Tangalle.
- Rekawa beach, where turtles nest at night (go with the local conservation project).
