The road
The same road as the airport transfer, in reverse. Local roads to Mirigama, the open section of the Central Expressway (E04) to Kurunegala (Kadawatha–Mirigama is still under construction), then the A6 via Dambulla. The last stretch is two-lane country road; elephants crossing near Habarana at dusk are a real thing, which is one reason drivers prefer not to rush it at night.
