The road
Down the Ella gap past Ravana Falls to Wellawaya, south through Tissamaharama or via the Southern Expressway from its eastern end, then along the coast to Mirissa.
Worth stopping
- Ravana Falls (right by the road, 10 minutes).
- Buduruwagala rock-cut Buddhas near Wellawaya (detour 15 min).
